You May Not Know – Part 1

When a potential client reaches out to me, they want to know my experience, what insurance products that are offered through my business, how much things costs, and sometimes, they will ask me to tell them about myself.

They want to know my background both personally and professionally.

They may ask about my family.

They may ask about my hobbies.

For the next few weeks, I thought it would be a good idea for you to get to know me a little better.   One thing that you may not know about me is that I am a certified Soul Core fitness instructor.

Soul Core came into my life just over a year and a half ago.

It came at a time when everything seemed out of control.

My busy season with work was rapidly approaching, my husband was healing from a ruptured disc in his neck, and I was spread way too thin.

Each morning as I wake up, it is important to me to pray and thank God for every blessing in my life.   At the time when everything was out of control, this wasn’t happening.

The days seemed to run into one another.   Things were getting done, but something was missing.

Then, a friend invited me to a Soul Core class in a nearby town.   At the very moment that she mentioned this class, my immediate thought was that I just couldn’t fit one more thing into my life.

Soul Core is a way of nourishing the body and soul through praying the Rosary all while doing low impact strengthening exercises.

It turned out that Soul Core helped me put focus back on God.

It turned out that after just one class, I felt renewed and wanting to learn how to teach it.

It made me realize that this was one thing that I had to put into my life in order to be of any benefit to others.

As a Soul Core fitness instructor, I teach a class just about every week in our church.    I have chosen to do Chair Soul Core which simply means we sit in a chair and do the exercises instead of being on a mat on the floor.

The Rosary has become so important to me as a way to slow down that I start the day praying it with my coffee in the morning.

Starting the day thanking God and praying the Rosary helps me relax, feel refreshed, and gives me strength for whatever the day brings.

Things will go wrong.

Things won’t always be perfect, however, when you take care of yourself physically and emotionally, you will always be able to take better care of others.

Being a Soul Core fitness instructor has allowed me to do this.

It’s a means for me to help me help you.
