To my Medicare Clients

It is well known that we are living in challenging times.   During these difficult times, it has never been more important to make sure that the benefits you have through your Medicare Supplemental, Medicare Advantage, or Medicare Prescription Drug Plan will protect your most valuable asset – your health.

As your insurance broker in the States of NH and Maine representing a variety of Medicare plans, it is my honor to represent you with your Medicare choices again this year.

You may have noticed that my blog posts haven’t been as often the last few weeks.   The reason being is that my Medicare certifications have taken up much of my time these last few weeks.   I am happy to report that they are completed and now I am getting ready for the busiest times of the year with the Annual Election Period.

The Annual Election Period (AEP) will run from October 15th – December 7th.   During this time frame, you can make changes to your Medicare health plan.   Changes that occur during this time frame will be effective on January 1, 2021.

Your Medicare health plan will be sending you out a packet by the end of this month.    This is called your Annual Notice of Change (ANOC).   This packet will go over your current coverage and then detail any changes that will happen to that plan in 2021.

With everything going on in the world today, it’s important to review this information when it comes in to make sure your Medicare plan will still meet your needs.   The types of changes that you can expect are changes with premiums, networks, deductibles, co-pays, etc.   If you are unsure of the changes and/or are wondering if your plan will still suit you, please contact me as soon as possible.   You can send me an email at terri@balancedcarehealth.com or give me a call.

Although I cannot start talking about the new plans for 2021 until October 1st, it would be helpful to set up appointments now.    If you are unsure of meeting because of Covid-19, we can set up a call to make sure your questions are answered.

When the ANOC letter comes in and you are happy with the changes on your current Medicare Health plan, nothing needs to be done.  Your plan will automatically rollover for 2021 with the changes starting on January 1, 2021.

As always, I am grateful to have you as clients.   Even during difficult times, please know that I am here to assist you protect your healthcare and make sure you have what you need.
