Stay at Home Parents

Raising children is one of the best jobs in the world while at the same time, it can be one of the hardest jobs in the world.

As a parent, deciding if you will continue to work full time or be a stay at home parent can be one of the hardest decisions you can make.

If you go to work, you will have days of guilt and feeling like you aren’t doing enough.

If you decide to be a stay at home parent, you will have days of guilt for not earning an income for the household.

You will most likely hear from family and friends on how to do it better.

Realistically, you are the only one that knows what is best for your family.

Realistically, it would be helpful if we all supported one another and showed kindness no matter what decision is made.

When it comes to Life Insurance, it is natural to know that a parent that earns an income outside of the home will need Life Insurance.

Today, let’s explore another reality.

Stay at home parents also need Life Insurance.

According to Salary.com reports, if a stay at home parent were to get paid, their salary would be approximately $160,000 a year.   That’s because they work over 80 hours a week and provide childcare, education, nutrition, and nursing just to name a few.

If something was to happen to the stay at home parent, childcare would now be an additional expense.

Normal upkeep of the house including cleaning, laundry, and upkeep on the home may be another expense.

There are many times that stay at home parents either work from home or go back into the work force as their children get older.   Either way, this could result in lost income should something happen.

Supporting you whether you decide to work outside of the home or stay home with your children is a decision that I personally made when I did both as a parent.     Both have their rewards.

Either way, Life Insurance can help your family if the unthinkable happens.

While no Life Insurance policy can ever replace a parent, the cost of not having Life Insurance can be crippling.

Let Balanced Care help you determine how much Life Insurance you need,  shop to find you an affordable plan, and help support the decision you made that is best for your family.
