Your diet is not only what you eat. It’s what you watch, what you listen to, what you read, and the people you hang around. Be mindful of the things you put into your body emotionally, spiritually, and physically.
This was a quote that I saw in the last few months that really hit me hard.
At the beginning of this year, a goal of making exercise a priority was put into action. Getting to the gym three times a week was a must. The gym had a program that included meal plan ideas to make sure you were getting the right kind of nutrition and eating enough. Not only was this good for me physically, but even more importantly mentally. It wasn’t about losing weight; it was truly about becoming a healthier version of myself.
Then like everyone else, life took a very unexpected turn. The gym closed along with so many other businesses.
The gym offered online classes through Zoom, but with less business for myself and hours being cut for my husband, it wasn’t something I could justify spending money on.
Because of this, my daily schedule was all over the place. Watching the news to attempt to get some answers for everything going on just left me more discouraged and unable to feel like I could get a good night’s sleep.
Sweets and salty foods like chips were starting to creep into my diet more often.
My hair was growing out and gray hairs were popping up everywhere making me feel older and unkept.
My motivation for doing things was slipping and my heart broke knowing that it was me that was doing this to myself.
Anyone else feel this way?
This month, Tiffany Peterson of Tiffanyspeaks.com is offering a Mindset Makeover class. This class normally sells for anywhere between $97.00 to $199.00, but Tiffany is offering this for what you can pay especially because of everything going on in the world. She saw the need and wanted to provide this content for everyone. If you have an interest, go to www.mymindsetmakeover.com. On the first week, she spoke of gratitude, nourishing your mindset, and just being kind to yourself.
It made me think of the quote that I started off with – Be mindful of the things you put into your body emotionally, spiritually, and physically.
For the next few weeks, my focus will be about taking care of yourself and working at keeping a schedule during these crazy times.
It is my hope to give you a few ideas that can help inspire and encourage you.
Because . . . . .
Health is not just being disease free. Health is when every cell in your body is bouncing with joy.
