You may have heard about some legislation that will affect Medicare Supplemental Plans C and F.
This legislation is called the Medicare Access and CHIP Reauthorization Act of 2015 (MACRA).
It is my hope that sharing some facts about this legislation will help you to understand how it may affect you.
- If you or anyone you know is eligible for Medicare Part A on or before January 1, 2020, you are still able to enroll into a Medicare Supplemental Plan C or Plan F.
- If you are already enrolled into either Medicare Supplemental Plan C or F, there is no need to take any action. The plans will still be available to you after 2020.
- If you become eligible for Medicare Part A on or after January 1, 2020, you will not be able to purchase either Plan C or F.
- There will be other Medicare Supplemental Plans available to you such as a Plan G or Plan N.
We do our best at Balanced Care to share as much information as we can about any changes that are coming along.
We do our best to share the facts so that you aren’t making a decision that could hurt you down the road.
Medicare can be like a maze.
It’s hard to navigate when you first enroll and it can be complicated when changes happen.
Medicare is far from simple, but with Balanced Care helping you navigate, the Medicare maze will be a whole lot easier to get through.
