As an insurance broker, there is nothing I like better than to give my clients choices – choices on which insurance company to choose, which deductible works for them, which plan works for them, which network works for them, etc.
When I first started in the health insurance industry, I represented one insurance company. Watching the company tell me how many sales had to be made no matter what was the primary reason that becoming a broker was so important to me. Seeing that their network or their plans didn’t fit everyone’s needs told me that being a broker would allow me to do what was right for every client based on their needs, not on the insurance company.
In other words, we work for you, not the insurance company. Every policy we offer you is always what is best for you and you only.
In the next few weeks, my certifications will happen for each insurance company I represent for Medicare insurance products. In total, that will result in 11 different certifications.
With those certifications comes knowing the changes that will happen with plans for 2021 including premiums, deductibles, co-pays, etc.
It will include hours of training that will allow me to best serve you and offer choices that work for you.
Several years ago and just after completing training, changes happened in my life.
Those changes happened because of injuries that my husband sustained.
Being a broker allowed me to be at home with him when needed, allowed me to continue to work from home, allowed me to bring him to necessary doctor appointments, and allowed me to serve my clients on the phone and/or in person when needed.
There are times when I truly feel that everything we have been going through the last few months as a country, I was being prepared for earlier.
I can still offer choices – the choices of all the insurance plans that are offered in NH and Maine for both Medicare and Health Insurance.
The choice of whether meeting in person and/or doing business over the phone or through the internet.
And, the best choice of all – working for you and what is best for you.
