Curveball

One thing that my family and friends know about me is my love for baseball.    Since we gave up having cable television years ago, watching games doesn’t happen very often.   When it does happen, my husband and I will choose to go out to eat at a restaurant that has games playing.   We will always sit where the Red Sox game is showing and watch a few innings.

One of the things that I love about it is to guess which pitch the pitcher will throw.    It isn’t always easy to spot, but the dead giveaway is to see how the batter reacts.   The curveball seems to fool batters more times than not.

In the insurance industry, you might say that we are protecting you from the curveballs of life.

Those curveballs can knock you right off of your feet.

Those curveballs could strike you out with no warning.

You won’t see them coming and they can truly change the directory of your life.

A young newlywed couple experiences a tragedy when the husband is working on their new home.   He passes out only to find out that he has a brain tumor.   The future ahead is filled with doctor appointments, surgeries, and uncertainty.   They now are faced with the reality that the life they dreamed of may not come true.

A single man purchases a new home.   He has a good job and doesn’t have worry about his health.   He is in an automobile accident that results in broken legs, arms, ribs, and right clavicle.   He is bruised from head to toe and although he will heal, he isn’t able to work for over six months.

A single mother gets a diagnosis of heart disease.    She has a strong family history of this disease that resulted in early deaths for her both her parents.   She worries about her young children and their future.

A husband and father of two dies while in his sleep.   Healthy throughout all his life, a heart attack took his life and left his family without him.

Each of these stories are real.    The families all experienced a curveball that they didn’t see coming.

Whether it was health insurance, disability, Medicare, or life insurance, the insurance they all purchased helped them in their times of need.

Balanced Care cannot keep the curveball from coming, but we can help provide some reassurance when life pitches one to you.

Sometimes you will succeed.

Sometimes you will strike out.

Balanced Care can help you succeed by knocking that curveball right out of the park.
