Every February, I always think of what I can do for my husband on Valentine’s Day. A beautiful card, his favorite meal of ham and mashed potatoes, and a candlelit dinner are always a hit. It has always been a goal of mine to list out at least ten different things on a piece of paper telling him the reasons why he means the world to me. Then, I tell myself that I will get this goal done for our Anniversary. Unfortunately, I haven’t done it yet (I just put it into my schedule to make sure it gets done this year for Valentine’s Day).
There are so many times we tell ourselves that we are going to get something done and then it gets put on the back burner. Insurance is one of those things that can be put on the back burner very easily. This week, we are in the last week of Open Enrollment for health insurance and the phone continues to ring with clients looking for assistance. Just like me with my goals, they have put it off until the last minute and some will not get it done.
For the month of February, my focus will be on sharing the importance of Life Insurance and how it is really a gift of love. While many will be focusing on gifts for Valentine’s Day which is important, I want to share the most important gift of all. Purchasing a Life Insurance Plan is simply a selfless gift in taking care of our loved ones. If someone depends on you to take care of them financially or physically, then Life Insurance is a vehicle to help you with your goals for your family.
As a broker that has offered Life Insurance to her clients, it gives me peace of mind to know that when someone buys Life Insurance, their family is protected. Not one of us know what our future holds. Life can change in a split second. A sudden diagnosis that shares you have weeks to live (this happened to a close friend of mine) or an accident that takes your life can leave family members with unbearable grief. The grief can be even more overwhelming without Life Insurance.
While I know that replacing a gift of flowers or chocolate for Valentine’s Day with Life Insurance isn’t the most romantic gesture, it is also a solid way to build your family a solid financial plan. Plan on giving us a call this month to secure Life Insurance for your family. It’s a gift of love that you cannot afford to be without.
