What Do Supplemental Insurance Plans Really Offer

Balanced Care Health and Supplemental Insurance works with Supplemental Insurance plans as another tool to protect yourself and your family.       To help you better understand the importance of these types of plans, it is my goal to share with you what these plans actually have done for my clients.

At Balanced Care, we are dedicated to serving the needs of members of our community who have worked hard and want to protect the health and well being of themselves and their families.    It is a goal of Balanced Care to Provide Balance, Security, and Peace of Mind with your Insurance needs.       As important as Health Insurance is to pay for your medical costs, deductibles, co-pays, and everyday living expenses add up extremely quickly if you are diagnosed with a critical illness, have an accident, are hospitalized, or become disabled.

Let me start out today by sharing with you about a client who called wanting a high deductbile health plan.       She was between jobs and knew she needed a plan, however, was concerned about the price.     Balanced Care did share her the information she needed about the High Deductible plan, however, also recommended a Supplemental Critical Illness and Cancer Plan.     Three months later, she was diagnosed with cancer.       After a $2,500 deductbile, her medical costs were covered with her Health Plan.        The Supplemental Insurance plan she purchased pays a benefit on diagnosis of cancer.      That benefit is paid directly to the policyholder and can be used to pay the mortgage, keep food on table, caregiver costs, or to just keep the bills paid and the family moving forward.    The benefits are paid regardless of any other insurance you carry.       In this particular case, she received the following benefits:

Upon diagnosis:    $40,000

Consultation benefit:  $250.00

Hospital Confinement Benefit:     Five day hospitalization paid benefit of $1500

Radiation and Chemotherapy Benefit:   $1,000

As hard as it was for her to receive the news that she had cancer, she shared with me that because of my recommendation of the Supplemental Critical Illness and Cancer Plan, she was able to concentrate more on her health and not her finances.      Day to day life is complicated enough all on its own.      Supplemental Insurance plans help to keep your financial worries to a minimum and give you the Peace Of Mind that Balanced Care strives for each and everyday.
